What Types of Licenses Are Included With Your Digital Products?
Our digital products come with different license types, and each license determines exactly how you are allowed to use the files. It is very important to understand these differences before purchasing so you can choose the right product for your needs. Below is a clear breakdown of the most common license types we offer:
Personal Use (PU) License – This license allows you to use the product for your own personal, home, or classroom use only. You are not allowed to sell, share, upload, redistribute, or claim ownership of the files. This license is ideal for individuals, parents, teachers, and students.
Master Resell Rights (MRR) License – This license allows you to sell the digital product exactly as it is, without making any changes. However, your customer will not receive resale rights, and you are not allowed to modify the content or claim yourself as the original creator.
Private Label Rights (PLR) License – This is the most flexible license. It allows you to edit, modify, rebrand, customize, and sell the product as your own. You can add your business name, logos, and personal branding, and in most cases, you can use the product for your own digital business or sales funnels.
Always check the license information listed on each product page to confirm exactly what you are allowed to do, as permissions can vary depending on the product type.

Can I use digital products for my Print-on-Demand (POD) business?
POD usage is only allowed if the product description or included license specifically states it. Some items, especially PLR products, allow full POD resale and customization. Others—particularly printables and wall art—may be restricted to personal use only. Always check the license before uploading to POD platforms like Etsy, Redbubble, or Amazon KDP to avoid copyright issues.
What Are Printables and How Can I Use Them?
Printables are ready-to-use digital sheets you can download and print anytime, making them perfect for both home and classroom use. They are designed for kids, students, teachers, parents, and even adults who enjoy creative or educational activities. Our collection includes coloring pages, flashcards, educational worksheets, activity workbook sheets, wall art, planners, and more, all crafted to support learning, creativity, and fun.
Using printables is simple—just download the file, print it at home, school, or any local print shop, and you’re ready to go. Teachers can use them for lessons, centers, and homework; parents can use them for practice, entertainment, and skill-building; and adults can enjoy relaxation printables or planning tools. Printables offer flexibility, unlimited reprints, and an easy way to bring learning and creativity into everyday life.
How can I ensure I’m buying the correct license for my business?
Think about how you plan to use the product. Choose Personal Use for home, family, or classroom use. Choose Commercial Use if you’re selling a finished product. Choose PLR if you want to edit and rebrand it as your own. Choose MRR if you want to resell the product and give resell rights to your customers. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll recommend the safest option for your needs.
Can I resell or share your digital downloads with others?
No. Sharing, uploading, or giving the files away for free is strictly prohibited unless your license specifically includes MRR or PLR permissions. Even with PLR or MRR files, your customer must receive their own license file, not your master version. If you purchased a Personal Use version, it cannot be shared, resold, or distributed under any circumstance.
What should I do if I didn’t receive my email with the download link?
Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder. If the email isn’t there, it may have been blocked by your email provider. You can still access your files anytime by logging into your NewGen DIY account under “My Orders” or “Downloads.” If you checked everything and still can't find it, contact support and we will resend your links immediately.
Do I need special software to use your digital products?
Most files open with standard software already on your device. PDFs open in Adobe Reader, Google Drive, or any PDF viewer. JPG and PNG files open in your default photo app. For editable templates (like Canva or editable PDFs), the product description will indicate what software you need. No advanced software is required for standard printables.
Can I print these files at home or do I need a professional printer?
You can print at home using a color printer for smaller items like flashcards, worksheets, or planners. For wall art, posters, or high-detail graphics, professional printing produces the sharpest results. We always provide high-resolution files to ensure excellent print quality whether at home or at a print shop.
How long will I have access to my digital downloads?
Your downloads never expire. Once purchased, you can re-download your files anytime from your NewGen DIY account. Even if you lose your device, switch computers, or delete the files accidentally, your purchase history will always keep them safe.
Can I ask for custom edits, resizing, or personalization?
Yes! We offer custom design services depending on availability. We can resize wall art, personalize planners, or modify certain templates. Some products even include editable versions you can update yourself. Just contact us with your request and we’ll let you know the turnaround time and cost.
What if I have trouble downloading on my phone?
Some mobile devices block or limit file downloads, especially ZIP files. If you experience issues, try downloading from a desktop or tablet for a smoother experience. You can also access your files anytime through your account after logging in from any device.
Can I use digital files in products I sell to my own clients?
Yes—but only if the license attached to the product allows commercial use. Items with PLR (Private Label Rights) can be edited, rebranded, and sold as your own, including to your clients. MRR (Master Resell Rights) allows resale but not rebranding, and your clients may also resell it. Personal Use products cannot be used commercially at all. Always check the license terms included in your download to ensure compliance with copyright and distribution rules.
Why are some products available in multiple ratios or sizes?
Different wall art ratios and planner sizes ensure your digital product looks sharp and properly formatted across all printing options. For example, wall art ratios like 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, 11×14, and A-series cover all standard U.S. and international frames. This prevents cropping, stretching, or blurriness and gives you perfect results whether printing at home, a print shop, or using professional service
What should I do if my download keeps failing or stopping midway?
Large files may fail if your internet connection is unstable or if you’re downloading on a device with limited storage. Try these steps: switch to Wi-Fi, clear space on your device, or download on a laptop instead of a phone. If your product includes a Google Drive link, choose ‘Make a Copy’ to save it directly to your own drive for uninterrupted access.
How do I unzip files on mobile devices?
iPhones and Android devices often require a free unzip app to open ZIP folders. Install a trusted unzip app from your app store, download the file, and open it through the unzip tool. If your device struggles, simply switch to a computer—ZIP files open instantly on desktop without additional apps.
Are digital products compatible with Canva, Procreate, or other design tools?
Many products—especially templates, planners, social media kits, and PLR items—are specifically designed for Canva. Some files may also work in Procreate, Affinity, or Adobe software, depending on the format (PNG, JPG, or PDF). The product page will always specify compatibility so you can be sure before purchasing.
Can I edit or customize the digital files I purchase?
Editing depends entirely on the file type and license. Editable templates (Canva links or editable PDFs) allow full customization. PLR products can be modified extensively, including text, colors, graphics, and layout. Standard printables like worksheets or wall art are not editable unless the product description states otherwise.
Do digital products include bleed lines or trim marks for professional printing?
Yes. Many products designed for printing—such as planners, cards, and wall art—include bleed or trim-safe areas or are exported with printer-friendly margins. If your print shop requires a specific bleed size, we can adjust the product for you upon request.
Can I upgrade my license after purchasing the product?
Absolutely. If you bought a Personal Use version but later decide you want PLR, MRR, or commercial rights, you can upgrade at any time by contacting support. You’ll only pay the price difference between the two license levels.
Are your digital downloads safe and free from viruses?
Yes. All files are created in trusted software and delivered directly through secure download servers or Google Drive. No executable (.exe) files or unsafe formats are ever used, ensuring your purchase is 100% safe for all devices.
Will I lose access to my downloads if I create a new account or change my email?
Your files remain permanently accessible. If you change your email or accidentally create multiple accounts, we can merge your orders manually. Just contact support with your order number, and we’ll restore full access to all downloads.
Can I request a resizing or a format change for a specific product?
Yes, we offer resizing and reformatting support for most products. Whether you need a different wall art ratio, an A4 version instead of U.S. Letter, or a CMYK PDF for printing, we can modify the product for you—often at no additional cost. Simply send your request through our contact page.
